In this study, effects of longitudinal and rotational accelerations on the Internal Ballistic Solid Propellant Rocket are investigated. First, a quasi one-dimensional flow is considered to drive governing equations. By assuming semi- permanent flow and neglecting heat transfer through the walls, at each time increment the governing equations are integrated along the length of motor. Then, using burning rate equations in Greatrix model, variation of different parameters of Internal Ballistic along length of motor are obtained at each burning time. Results reveal that the acceleration increases only if the rotational acceleration is negative (towards the propellant). By applying the rotational acceleration, the burning rate increases and the burning time decreases. Also, it is shown that by increasing the rotational acceleration the pressure in the chamber increases. The steady burning rate is the most important factor by which the acceleration affects the burning rate. While the effects of longitudinal acceleration reduces the effects of rotational acceleration, it has negligible effects on the internal ballistic solid propellant rocket. Finally, it can be concluded that for designing solid rocket motor the rotational acceleration is of greater importance than the longitudinal acceleration.
