When dealing with research and development of gun propellants, a less expensive, quicker and safer process of closed vessel evaluation adopted rather than gun firing. In the current research work a computer program (BRCBADR) has been developed for the burning rate reduction from closed vessel test data. Correct determination of thermo-chemical properties of propellants provides accurate results of interior ballistics analysis. BRCBADR has been developed based on a zero dimensional model for evaluating pressure history of burning propellants in a closed chamber. A new curve fitting method based on the shooting algorithm is used to calculate burning rate coefficient. In this program, experimental value of impetus and co-volume determined from Noble-Able equation of state. The results of present code are well agreed with the results of other valid codes. Using of burning rate calculation method has resulted in accurate muzzle velocity prediction (less than one percent error) from 122 mm gun firing. This research showed that, regardless of slivering effect during the burning of seven perforated cylindrical grains resulted to additional unreal impulse applied to the projectile.
