Grenades are small hand bombs containing a certain amount of explosives or chemical compounds used against the enemy forces or their weaponry. Grenades are composed of three main parts, namely the grenade casing, the main charge and the fuse. Delay time in grenades is provided by pyrotechnic delay composition. The proper delay time in hand grenades is 3 to 5 seconds and delay time less than 1 second resulting instantaneous performance and very dangerous for solders. In this investigation effect of some experimental parameters on the instantaneous performance of hand grenade fuses have been studied and discussed
