Determine the lifetime of explosive chemicals is one of the important research fields in recent years. Among the various methods of estimating life expectancy, methods based on solid-state kinetic analysis of the thermal decomposition of a chemical explosive are scientific and the accuracy of the method is confirmed. In this study, the determination of kinetic parameters of Ocfol explosive was calculated. The curves of thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA) at temperature range 25 -350 ° C at five heating rates of 2, 4, 6, 7 and 8 oC/min were recorded. Following parameter of conversion fraction (α) of TGA data, the activation energy and the logarithm of the frequency factor were obtained using kinetic analysis of model-fitting and mode-free. The lifetime of Ocfol was estimated by using nan-isothermal analysis data and combination of model-fitting and model-free (isoconversional). The activation energy and logA values at α = 5% were obtained 227 KJ/mol and 20.475 1/s, respectively, by using Ozawa-Flynn- Wall model-free. Also, the mechanism of decomposition (kinetic triplet) was predicted as function of [−ln(1−α)]2/3 by model-fitting. Finally, at α = 5% and ambient temperature, lifetime for the Ocfol was determined more than 15 years.
