Melamine Dioxide Perchlorate (MDOP) is an energetic substance that can be used as an oxidizeras an oxidizer in propellants due to its favorable performance characteristics and suitable thermal properties. In this research, melamine dioxide perchlorate was synthesized from melamine dioxide trifluoroacetic acid by optimizing the parameters of temperature, time, etc., with a yield of 53.5% and was confirmed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), proton nuclear magnetic resonance (1H NMR) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) analyses. Melamine dioxide perchlorate oxidizer was used in a sample of propellant formulation based on polyethylene glycol, and its stability was measured along with other components.. The propellant sample with a content of 15% melamine dioxide perchlorate was cured and with only 0.8848 cm3.gr-1 of gas released in the vacuum stability test (VST) under the standard conditions, its stability was proved.
