.Energetic ionic liquids compared to conventional high energy compounds, such as TNT, HMX and RDX has a low vapor pressure, high thermal stability and adjustable chemical and physical properties and high being liquid range. A new class of ionic salts that have a large number of nitrogen on their structure have distinctive characteristics such as high heat of formation and high viscosity, compared to other energetic ionic salts. This research offers techniques for the synthesis of energetic ionic liquid based on Hexamethylentetramin. Synthesis of energetic ionic liquid based on hexamethylenetetramine was carried out via the quaternization of hexamethylenetetramine with alkylhalide (methyl iodine) followed by anion exchange with dicyanamide. This ionic liquid was synthesized in high yield (80%). In order to identification of the synthesized material, FR-IR and 1HNMR spectra were obtained and the results confirmed the synthesis. Finally, the thermal properties of that was studied by using thermal analysis, TG and DTA.
