Abstract
high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) are including systems used for separation of explosive mixtures that despite the advantages of rapid analysis, low sample volume, and low consumption organic solvent, in use for complex matrices need to improve the selectivity and sensitivity stationary phase. One of the methods to improve selectivity and sensitivity is choosing the appropriate detector. In this article the types of detectors that used in HPLC systems were reviewed to separation and determination of explosive drivatives. The results showed a high reproducibility for UV-Vis detectors, very low detection limit for electrochemical systems, simultaneous use of multiple wavelengths and spectral library for compounds produced by photo diode array detectors, obtain to mass and structure data for mass spectrometer, access to high sensitivity and a complete spectrum of analyte without eluting solvent absorption in infrared range and no need for calibration by using of NMR system.
