For simulation and analysis of detonation in explosive materials, we need to use equation of state (EOS) for closing of the governing equations. In high explosives, the EOS is divided into two categories, EOS of detonation products and unreacted materials. Most of the explosion specialists are familiar with EOS of detonation products. Therefore, this paper is about introducing and investigating the EOS of unreacted explosives. Some of the applications of such equations are modeling of detonation initiation and extinction, sympathetic detonation, etc. Specially, unreacted EOS is used to describe the non-ideal and curved front detonation propagation. Some of the famous unreacted EOS which are investigated here, are: Mie-Gruneisen, Murnaghan, Birch-Murnaghan, and Rose-Vinet
