In order to determine the optimal formulation for a high explosive energetic material to achieve maximum performance properties such as velocity, pressure, and detonation energy, an optimization algorithm has been employed alongside the thermochemical code "CHEMIA". CHEMIA is a thermochemical program used for calculating ideal one-dimensional detonation wave properties in explosive materials based on the closed chemical formula, initial density, and heat of formation. In this approach, an optimization method with a deterministic interval analysis perspective has been utilized. In each iteration, the CHEMIA thermochemical program is invoked to calculate the explosive properties of the composition. Initially, the accuracy of CHEMIA's performance in calculating the functional properties of highly explosive materials has been demonstrated. Subsequently, to examine the accuracy of the optimization model and the correctness of the implemented method and validating the proper functioning of the generated program a number of inverse problems have been solved. Continuing with the objective of achieving compositions with maximum temperature, pressure, or velocity at the detonation wave front, optimization has been performed using the developed program, and the results have been compared with reference values from the literature.
