Antioxidants are used in propellant formulation to prevent oxidation and increase their lifespan. Oxidation Induction Time (OIT) test is one of the best methods to analysis the performance of antioxidants. This test determined the resistance of the polymer against oxidation. In this work, the performance of the primary Antioxidant (AO.2246, IPPD, N-Methyl aniline), secondary Antioxidant (TNPP), Bifunctional antioxidant (Irganox 415) and Synergic effect (use primary and secondary antioxidant) in binder system based on HTPB were investigated through the OIT analysis. The obtained results show that the best antioxidant performance in the binder system based on HTPB is related to the simultaneous use of the primary antioxidant (AO.2246) and secondary (TNPP) types with a ratio of 2:1.
