Abstract:   (234 Views)
The spherical cavity expansion theory is one of the theories developed to investigate the penetration of the projectile in the concrete target. Many scientists have done research on this theory and its completion. Their research includes changing the equation of state and material model of concrete. There has not been much research on reinforced concrete and the application of this theory to it. Therefore, in this research, the spherical cavity expansion theory has been applied to reinforced concrete by considering the reinforcement ratio. On the other hand, the crack area is also considered in the spherical cavity expansion model, and the impact of this area has been investigated. The results showed that with the increase in reinforcement percentage, the internal surface of the cavity experiences higher stresses and also the crack area is formed at low speeds and this area is removed at higher speeds. Also, the incompressible model with respect to cracks has had closer results than the compressible model without cracks. For example, according to the results of the experimental tests of Forrestal's article, the average error of the incompressible method was 19.6%, compared to the compressible state with an average error of 26%. It is appropriate.
