n this study 12 Reinforced Concrete Beams, tested under different amount of explosive (c4) air blast. Crack and damage pattern, support rotation (SR) and maximum and permanent displacement of Midspan (∆) are recorded. Then damaged beams were loaded to rupture.
The experimental results showed: in 〖SR<3〗^° flexural cracks are generated, Midspan displacement vs scaled distance is nearly linear and residual strength of damaged beams in comparison to the reference beam decreased up to 50%. Reducing the scaled distance, SR suddenly increased to over than 5^°, the damage pattern is changed and, residual strength decreased to less than 20%.
